The Google Trekker has landed in northern British Columbia. This week we officially launched our Google Trekker program in partnership with Google and Destination British Columbia. Press gathered at Shane Lake in Prince George eager to hear more about our summer trekking plans.

In addition to the Northern BC Tourism team, Google and Destination British Columbia were on hand to assist in launching the program which will see the Trekker capture 360 degree images from some of the most iconic areas in the north. The Google Trekker is designed to venture into places that are not accessible by car, while collecting Street View imagery.
